On Tuesday of this week, Knox County’s Save the Children coordinators were notified that a trailer of toys, books, and games were being donated to the school system.  Coordinators and district staff picked up the donations and divided them among schools.  The items are now ready to be distributed starting Friday during meal pickup at the elementary schools.

“We have a wide variety of games and toys that are good for early grades but most of them can be used by the entire family during game nights while staying healthy at home,” said Gina Sears, coordinator of Save the Children for KCPS.

The items will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis and quantities are limited.  Precautions will be used during distribution to minimize multiple touches of the boxes.
