Is your child ready for kindergarten?  There are many different factors that can impact a “yes” or “no” response.

Knox County’s Family Resource Centers have received GEER funding to conduct kindergarten readiness playgroups.

For children ages 3 to 5 and not attending preschool, these groups are a great way to prepare for skills needed for kindergarten and make friends with kids their own age.

Dinner is provided for the family.  Families will leave with free learning kits and information on community resources that may benefit them as their child grows and enrolls in school.  There will also be door prizes for those in attendance.

The first group meeting is set for April 19, 5:30pm, at Central Elementary.  The groups will be held at different schools each month, therefore, it is not necessary for you to only attend the one closest to your home.

To register your family for the April 19 event, or for more information, call 606-546-7780.
