The Dr. Thomas Walker Chapter NSDAR and the Knox County Community Education Program are pleased to announce that nine Knox County students have been awarded first place in the 2010-2011 Kentucky Junior American Citizen Contest in the areas of Art and Creative Expression. The theme this year was “Preserving America’s Past.”
These students and their parents were recognized at the Kentucky Society DAR Youth Awards Ceremony on Saturday, March 26 at the Downtown Hilton in Lexington. Each winner was recognized individually and presented a certificate by Kay Harrison, State JAC Chairperson.
The following state winners have been selected to represent Kentucky in the JAC East Central Division Contest:
