Road Safety Kids’ Art Contest – Deadline September 24, 2017

The U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration agency’s goal is to reduce crashes, injuries and fatalities involving large trucks and buses. In an effort to achieve that goal, I am proud to announce the official launch of the Road Safety Kids’ Art Contest.

Traffic safety is an important skill for all children to learn from a young age, and this contest is a perfect activity for students across the county to participate in during their summer vacation. The contest is open to students in Kindergarten through sixth grade.

This year’s contest will run through September 24th. The Our Roads, Our Safety Partnership along with the Commercial Motor Vehicle Partnership will determine the winners in October. All 12 winners will receive a certificate of recognition and have their artwork included in the 2018 Road Safety Art Contest Calendar, which will be distributed nationwide.
