Eighth grade students: Apply to be a Rogers Explorer

The Center for Rural Development is accepting applications from current eighth-grade middle school students in Southern and Eastern Kentucky for the 2020 Rogers Explorers program.

Rogers Explorers is an intensive three-day, two-night summer youth program for rising high school freshmen that focuses on cultivating skills in leadership, technology, math, science, and community service.

The program is developed, coordinated, and supervised by The Center for Rural Development and presented in partnership with Eastern Kentucky University, Morehead State University, University of the Cumberlands, Lindsey Wilson College, University of Pikeville, Union College, and Asbury University.

A total of 210 students from within The Center’s 45-county primary service area will be selected to attend this summer’s session of Rogers Explorers.

To apply, simply go to www.centeryouthprograms.com and fill out the online application. The two-step application process is easy to follow and includes step-by-step instructions to help guide you through the entire process.

Remember the deadline to apply for Rogers Explorers is Feb. 7!
