High school students throughout the Commonwealth are invited to submit their own rendition of what they think Derby day looks like in a contest to design a Derby poster the governor and first lady will display in the Capitol.
From the Office of the First Lady:
The Governor’s Office recognizes the importance of maximizing creativity in the minds of our young people. We believe giving students the chance to use their creative skills for a greater cause allows them the confidence to share their own original ideas. That is why we are offering an opportunity for students to take advantage of their artistic talents. Every year, the Governor and First Lady design a Derby poster to display in the Capitol.
