The Knox County Board of Education voted unanimously to increase all full time employee salaries by 3% during the August 24, 2017 meeting.
Below are key highlights of this change and how/when it will impact your pay:
- The increase is to the base pay effective July 1, 2017 – the start of the fiscal year.
- The increase does not apply to substitutes, student workers, stipends, coaching, and extra service/duty pay.
- The September 15 payroll / direct deposit will be the first to reflect the increase of 3% to your gross pay. This is the gross pay amount that you can expect for the remainder of the year if you fulfill all days in your contract calendar. Again, stipends, etc. do not apply to the 3% increase.
- A special one time payroll / direct deposit will occur on September 21 to cover the difference in salary owed for the pay periods in July and August.
