As the Early Childhood Ambassador, with Save the Children, my role is to engage and excite the entire community on the importance of Kindergarten Readiness.  Every child that enters Kindergarten in Knox County should be ready and able to learn. The Parent/Child play group that will be hosted weekly, starting in January, 2018, will be a critical centerpiece to obtaining Kindergarten readiness.  There will be a wealth of information on our Facebook page @EarlyChildhoodSTC.  This will include daily activities that will be easily accomplished from the comfort from your own home.  The ultimate goal is to inspire parents to understand that they are their child’s first and most important teacher.

Save the Children believes every child deserves a future. In the United States and around the world, the organization gives children a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm. “We do whatever it takes for children – every day and in times of crisis – transforming their lives and the future we share.”  Knox County Public Schools have partnered with Save the Children on an eight year grant that will change our community, one child’s life at a time.
