Lynn Camp wins 6th consecutive Beta award

Lynn Camp students are shown in costume in front of a Beauty and the Beast backdrop.

Lynn Camp’s Beta Club was in the spotlight at the statewide Beta Convention held the weekend of January 19.   The spotlight focused on the school’s character skit team, which impressed judges for the sixth year in a row, earning members first place and an invitation to compete at the national convention in June.

Also in the spotlight was Lynn Camp’s group talent entry.  The members earned 5th place honors.

Lori Mullins, Masyn Mitchell, and Brianna Agosto were all chosen as Premier Performers and were given a Golden Ticket to perform with a group of students at the national convention.

“We are so pleased with how all of our members represented the Beta Club and Lynn Camp Schools,” said Brooke Williamson, one of the sponsors of the student organization.  “We are so proud of all of our students. This is one of our best groups of students yet.”

Beta members and their sponsors extend a special thanks to their teachers who made their rehearsals and trip possible.  “We are so grateful for your support from helping with class coverage and letting us pull kids from class to loaning costumes and props and helping with the stage.”

Video of the performances are available on YouTube.
