Hinkle is ready for business; next meeting set for Monday, June 17

A new face will be joining the Knox County Board at its June 17 meeting.

Kevin Hinkle is shown being sworn into office by Judge Skip Hammons.Kevin Hinkle was selected by Commissioner Wayne Lewis to fill the vacant Board seat for district one.   During a swearing-in ceremony held this month, Hinkle stated that he wanted to continue building on the progress and great things that are happening in the Knox County schools.

Hinkle’s appointment is through the General Election to be held in November.  He has already filed to run as a candidate.

His first Board meeting will be a busy one as members discuss and/or take action on various contracts for the upcoming school year, close out finished construction projects, and conduct the first reading of new and revised policy and procedure updates.

The meeting is set to be held at the Board of Education Annex (199 Daniel Boone Drive) at 6:45 pm.
