Nominations for Knox County Middle School’s School-Based Decision Making Council (SBDM) will be taken May 16th through May 20th. Any parent interested in running for the SBDM Council (or nominating someone) must come to KCMS office where nomination forms will be available.
Requirements to be a parent representative on the SBDM Council are as follows:
1) A parent representative must not be an employee or relative of an employee in the district administrative offices.
2) A parent representative must not be a local board member or board member’s spouse.
3) A parent representative must have a child enrolled at Knox County Middle School for the 2019-2020 school year.
Parent representatives are elected for one (1) year terms. Two (2) parents will be chosen to serve on the SBDM Council. The election will held May 22nd through May 24th in the KCMS front foyer at the main office during the school day. Parents of students who will be attending KCMS during the 2019-2020 school year are allowed to vote.
