Finding the ‘right’ triangle in trigonometry

Students are shown conducting a right triangle search in their dual credit course.

Dual credit courses at Knox Central High School are not the typical “stand and deliver” lectures that college courses of the past have been known for.

On Tuesday, February 12, trigonometry students of Fatemia Fuson were actively collaborating and calculating as they went on a school-wide scavenger hunt for right triangles.  Throughout the school, signs were posted with a problem to solve as they conducted their search.
