Blooming into business, greenhouses open for season

Spring has rolled in and has brought bright flowers and vegetable producing plants with it.

Knox Central and Lynn Camp agriculture teachers, Courtney Miller and Dustin Johnson, have been hard at work seeding and tending to the plants. With the help of the agriculture students, the Knox Central and Lynn Camp greenhouses have raised a huge variety of flora for the community to purchase.

The students have learned a lot about agriculture by tending to the greenhouse. Not only do the greenhouses give the community something to brighten up their gardens, but they also provide a way to teach students how to grow healthy plants from seeds and give them a “real life” work setting before they head out into the working world.

Both greenhouses are open to the public.  For more information contact Courtney Miller (606-546-9253) or Dustin Johnson (606-528-5429).
