Area restaurant helps promote early childhood education

A Middlesboro restaurant is helping to draw attention to the importance of early childhood education at Girdler Elementary.

Sagebrush Steakhouse recently donated 60 free kids meals with the purchase of $10 to the Girdler Save the Children program.  Attendees of the school’s parent/child workshops this month will be eligible to receive a voucher for one of the free meals.

Shown receiving the donation from the restaurant are Brittany Carnes, Chelsea Gilbert, Mercades Maiden and Amanda Strange.  Carnes and Strange are early childhood coordinators for Save the Children and Gilbert and Maiden are employees at the restaurant.
