What should high school graduates be able to know?

That is one of the key questions that is guiding Commissioner of Education Stephen Pruitt’s Town Hall road trip across Kentucky.

The Kentucky Department of Education will host a series of Town Hall meetings across Kentucky focused on high school graduation requirements. Educators, parents, students, business representatives and community members are invited to attend and share their thoughts on the topic with the commissioner and Kentucky Department of Education staff.

In advance of the meeting, participants are asked to consider the following question: “What should high school graduates be able to know, do and experience to be ready for postsecondary education and/or a career?”

The nearest meeting to Knox County will be held at the Laurel County Schools Center for Innovation, 1100 E. 4th Street in London, on April 12, from 6:30pm until 8pm.

All interested stakeholders are invited to participate.
