Students across Knox County can continue to enjoy nutritious meals throughout July as the Summer Food Service Feeding program announces remaining sites and dates that meals will be offered at:
GR Hampton Elementary School through July 27 (M-Th)
Breakfast 8am- 9am, Lunch 11am – 12 noon
Knox County Middle School through July 30 (M-F)
Breakfast 8am-8:30am, Lunch 11am-11:45am
Lynn Camp Middle/High School through August 1 (M-F)
Breakfast 8am-9am, Lunch 11am – 12 noon
Earlier this summer the food service program offered meals at other locations throughout the county. “This was our first year of offering the summer feeding through Knox County Schools,” explained Angela Ledford, coordinator. “We learned a lot, received feedback, and will look at offering it and other programs in the future that provide students with a nutritious meal both during and after school hours.”
