The Knox County Board of Education took action on several bids and contracts for the upcoming year during their monthly meeting held during a special called meeting on Monday, June 11, at the Board Annex in Barbourville.
Among items approved were accepting any and all bids for services that were advertised including general labor, office supplies, clothing, garbage, and bus supplies.
The Board also amended the 2018-2019 calendar to reflect the addition of Good Friday as a day off for students. The instructional day was added to the end of the school calendar.
At the end of the meeting the Board took action on the Superintendent’s annual evaluation. After entering closed session to conduct the evaluation, Board chairman Gordon Hinkle reported that the members gave Kelly Sprinkles an overall accomplished rating for the past year.
