It’s time again to grab a hat, a favorite book, and join the world’s most famous cat for Read Across America week. Our schools have planned a variety of activities to celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday the week of February 25-March 1, 2019.
Family Read Night will be held at the Knox County Public Library on Thursday, February 28, from 6-7 p.m. Snacks, activities, and giveaways are part of the program.
Central Elementary – postponed until the week of March 4
Monday, March 4 – Cuddle Up with a Good Book
Pajama day wear your favorite appropriate pajamas
Tuesday, March 5 – Round Up a Good Book
Wear your western cowboy/cowgirl clothes
Family Read Night will be held from 5pm-6:30pm. Snacks, games, and activities will be provided.
Wednesday, March 6 – Hunt for a Good Book
Wear all the camouflage you can
Thursday, March 7 – Team Up to Read Day
Wear your favorite sports or school shirt
Friday, March 8 – Dr. Seuss Day
Wear red and white stripes and your funny hat. Guest readers will visit our school.
